This Privacy Notice explains how Plantizz handles information when you visit Plantizz, an anonymous editorial website about plants and plant care funded by Google AdSense advertising. Plantizz does not offer registration, member accounts, login, shopping, checkout, affiliate tracking, user uploads, comments, saved profiles, planners, or similar account features.

United States privacy framework
The United States has no single nationwide omnibus privacy law equivalent to the GDPR. Plantizz seeks to describe its practices accurately and fairly under applicable federal and state law. The Federal Trade Commission Act may apply to misleading privacy or security statements and other unfair or deceptive practices. State comprehensive privacy laws apply only when their own residence, territorial, business, revenue, data-volume, targeting, or other requirements are met. The California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, is not nationwide law.
Information we collect
Ordinary web and security information
When a page is requested, ordinary technical information may be processed by the website’s hosting and security infrastructure. Depending on the systems in use, this may include an IP address, request date and time, requested page, referring page, browser or device information, and basic error or security-event information. This information is used to deliver pages, maintain availability, detect abuse, investigate security incidents, and protect the service.
Email inquiries
If you voluntarily email Plantizz, Plantizz receives the information you include, such as your email address, name if provided, message, attachments, and any other content you choose to send. Plantizz uses it to read and answer your inquiry, handle corrections or reports, and maintain necessary business or legal records. Do not send confidential medical, legal, financial, or highly sensitive information unless it is necessary.
Consent preferences
The site uses the first-party cookie florapedia_consent_v1 to remember your necessary, analytics, and marketing choices and the consent version. Analytics is not enabled on this deployment, but the consent interface may contain an analytics category for configuration consistency. The cookie is set at Path=/, uses SameSite=Lax, is Secure when served over HTTPS, and is intended to expire after 180 days. More information appears in the separate Cookie Policy.
Google AdSense advertising
Plantizz uses Google AdSense and related Google advertising services. Google and its advertising partners may process identifiers, device and browser information, approximate location or network information, interaction information, and advertising or consent signals to deliver ads, prevent fraud and abuse, manage frequency, measure advertising, and, where permitted and selected, personalize advertising. The exact technologies vary by region, user settings, Google’s systems, and whether personalized or non-personalized ads are served.
Purposes and legal permissions
Plantizz uses information to provide and secure the website, respond to messages, remember privacy choices, support advertising, comply with legal obligations, and establish or defend legal claims where necessary.
For United States purposes, processing may be based on providing the requested website service, responding to a visitor’s voluntary communication, preventing fraud or abuse, complying with law, and the site’s legitimate operational interests, subject to applicable law. Where advertising storage or access requires consent, including in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, Switzerland, or another jurisdiction with a comparable requirement, advertising technologies are intended to be loaded only after the required marketing or advertising choice has been obtained. Refusing optional advertising does not prevent access to ordinary editorial content.
Sharing and service providers
Plantizz may disclose information to Google AdSense / Google advertising services for advertising and related security and measurement functions. Technical information may also be handled by hosting, delivery, and security providers used to operate the website, but no hosting provider or additional processor was supplied for naming in this notice. Plantizz does not sell personal information as a standalone data-broker service based on the supplied facts. It does not use analytics or affiliate tracking.
International processing
Plantizz is established in the European Union, while Google and technical service providers may operate systems in multiple countries, including countries outside the United States or European Economic Area. Transfers are handled according to applicable law and the contractual or other safeguards available to the relevant provider. Where the GDPR applies, transfers from the European Economic Area are subject to GDPR Chapter V requirements. Plantizz does not claim that every provider uses a particular transfer mechanism unless that mechanism has been verified for the applicable service.
Retention
Plantizz keeps information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, security, dispute handling, legal obligations, and recordkeeping. Exact server-log and email-retention periods were not supplied and may depend on the systems actually used. Consent preferences are intended to remain for 180 days unless deleted or replaced sooner. Google may retain advertising information under Google’s own policies and settings.
Security
Plantizz takes reasonable measures appropriate to the information and risks involved, such as access controls, secure transmission where available, minimizing collection, and responding to suspected security incidents. No online transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your choices and rights
All visitors
- You may choose whether to allow optional marketing technologies through the site’s consent controls where those controls are presented.
- You may delete or block cookies through your browser, although doing so may cause the site to ask for your preferences again.
- You may contact Plantizz at info@plantizz.com about a privacy question, correction, or concern.
State privacy rights where a state law applies

European Union rights where the GDPR applies
Where the GDPR applies, individuals may have rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, data portability, and the right to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. Individuals may also complain to the data-protection authority competent under the GDPR. The appropriate authority depends on the circumstances; Plantizz does not designate a specific authority in this United States edition.
Advertising personalization and automated processing
Google’s advertising systems may use automated selection, measurement, and personalization according to your choices, Google settings, and applicable law. Plantizz does not use this information to make decisions about eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, health care, or other legally significant services.
Children
The site is not directed to children as a service for collecting personal information. If you believe a child has provided personal information in a way that raises a concern, contact Plantizz.
Changes
Plantizz may update this Notice when its processing, services, or legal obligations change. The updated date will be shown at the top.
